We are excited to announce that this year the Technical Fisherman will host its first annual "Release of the Year"- a season-long Chesapeake Bay catch and release derby. Details will be coming soon, but the basics are that the derby will be open to all forms of catch and release fishing, anywhere on the Chesapeake and its tidal tributaries. The quarry will be the "Big 3"- Rockfish, Redfish and SeaTrout. Tournament entries will be made by video and monthly winners will compete at year end for the title of "Release of the Year."
Keep a lookout here for news and updates in the coming weeks and we hope everyone will enter and participate!
